Grande Prairie, AB – Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) invites prospective candidates to submit nomination forms for school board trustee positions in nine electoral wards.
Voting for school board trustees coincides with Alberta’s municipal Election Day on Monday, October 18, 2021.
Elected school board trustees will serve a four-year term. The positions of Board Chair and Vice Chair are elected annually by the PWPSD Board.
Prospective trustee candidates are invited to visit PWPSD’s Election 2021 website at www.pwpsd.ca/election2021/ to access nomination forms that must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. on Nomination Day, Monday, September 20, 2021. The website also provides resources on trusteeship and elections, and access to PWPSD’s nine electoral ward maps.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, candidates may submit nomination papers at PWPSD Central Office by appointment only by contacting JoAnn Vanstone, Returning Officer at [email protected] or (780) 532-8133.
