Peace Wapiti Public School Division has named Shawn O’Shea its new Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services. He will be taking over for current Assistant Superintendent Kevin Elias, who will be moving on in March.
Mr. O’Shea, current principal of Whispering Ridge Community School, has worked with the Division for 15 years and he’s excited to continue his PWPSD career in a new capacity. “I am excited to join the administrative team and I am looking forward to working with and supporting the learning communities throughout the Peace Wapiti Public School Division.”
Mr. O’Shea has been a teacher and administrator for nearly 20 years and is extremely grateful for having had the opportunity to serve a number of amazing PWPSD school communities throughout his journey. He has been the recipient of a number of leadership and teaching awards, and brings a wealth of experience to his new role on the administrative team. He credits the array of leaders he has worked with for helping him get to where he is today.
Shawn O’Shea will transition into his new role as Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services in August 2022. His replacement as Principal of Whispering Ridge Community School will be announced later this year.
