Mrs. Penny Rose, current principal of Ridgevalley School, has accepted the position of Director of Education Services with Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD), and will be moving to the Division’s Central Office in Grande Prairie for the 2022-2023 school year.
As Director of Education Services, Mrs. Rose will be responsible for visionary and assurance planning, school improvement, facilitation of various committees, and providing support to principals in all aspects of their administrative roles. She says she is looking forward to supporting and learning more about the many different learning communities PWPSD serves. “I am grateful for this new opportunity and very excited to be a part of the Central Office administrative team as I take on this new, dynamic position.”
Mrs. Rose has been teaching with the PWPSD for 23 years, serving as principal for the past 12. She says she appreciates all the learning experiences and meaningful relationships she has built throughout her career at Ridgevalley School and will miss her school community.
