PWPSD welcomes new Indigenous Education Services Team Lead

Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) is happy to welcome Mrs. Ashley Tower as the new temporary Indigenous Education Services Team Lead.

Mrs. Tower, who holds a Bachelor of General Studies in Education and a Master of Educational Leadership, has spent the last 17 years teaching in northern British Columbia. As part of her teaching role, she has taken on the title of Coach Mentor and works within schools to support Indigenous learners in meeting their goals and aspirations, as well as providing above and beyond support.

Mrs. Tower says she is excited to join PWPSD and learn alongside its staff and students. “I am most excited about getting to know the team, the local Indigenous communities, and seeing how I can support the goals and vision of the Division and communities. I look forward to nurturing the integration of Indigenous culture into our schools and supporting our Indigenous learners.” Mrs. Tower will begin her new role this fall and is looking forward to meeting students and staff throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
