PWPSD will honour Remembrance Day with student-led events

PWEC and PAVE students and staff will come together for a virtual ceremony to observe a moment of silence in honour of the individuals who gave their lives fighting for our freedom. Teachers will also share resources on Remembrance Day and Veterans’ Week with their students throughout the week.

Beaverlodge Elementary School

BES invites families and community members to hear from a local veteran and students during its annual Remembrance Day Ceremony. The Grade 2 students have prepared a short presentation for those in attendance.

Beaverlodge Regional High School

BRHS has invited local veterans to attend its Remembrance Day Ceremony, which will be hosted in the school gym. Those in attendance will hear from students, enjoy music, and participate in a moment of silence.

Bezanson School

Eaglesham School

The Remembrance Day Ceremony will be held in the school gym, where older students will recite poems.

 

Students will also observe Remembrance Day by participating in the Night in the Trenches activity, guided by the local Agricultural Society, where they will dig trenches and conduct activities typical of a WWI soldier.

SRRA welcomes families and community members to join its students and staff as they gather in the gym to honour Remembrance Day. The local Girl Guides will march, and students will perform the laying of wreaths and hear the Last Post.
