This weekend, athletes from Peace Wapiti Academy and Sexsmith Secondary School will represent their schools at the 2025 Basketball Provincial Championships.
Peace Wapiti Academy’s 3A Girls team earned their way to the provincial stage after winning the Zone title against St. Joseph Catholic High School. They will play their games at H. J. Cody High School in Sylvan Lake, AB.
Sexsmith Secondary School’s 2A Boys and 2A Girls teams found themselves at the Provincial Championships after placing first and second at Zones respectively. Both teams will compete for the provincial title at Rundle College in Calgary, AB.
