Transportation
Register for student transportation
Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD)'s Transportation department provides student transportation for all 22 PWPSD schools.
You can now register for student transportation online! Click the registration button if your child is:
- A new PWPSD student
- A current PWPSD student who has moved locations, changed schools, or need to update contact information
Do not use the online registration form and contact Transportation directly if your child:
- Is a student who requires specialized supports and services
- Is a student in Pre-Kindergarten. Pre-Kindergarten riders must be authorized by the school. Please contact your school to discuss.
- Requires transportation to an alternate address - use the Short-Term Riders form.
Students who are moving to high school from the feeder school do not need to complete a registration or update form; they will automatically be advanced.
If you are unsure which school your child will attend, view the PWPSD's School Boundary Maps to find your designated school.
For joint-custody arrangements, please contact the Transportation department directly at (780) 532-7734.
Students, parents/guardians, and PWPSD all have a responsibility with safe student transportation. Be sure to review the ridership responsibilities before riding the school bus.

About Us
PWPSD owns and operates its own fleet of 140 regular school buses plus one 21-passenger bus, one 33-passenger bus, and three 17-passenger buses which are equipped for extracurricular trips. Approximately 4,000 students are transported daily to 22 PWPSD schools. Transportation also offers cooperative busing to Grande Prairie and District Catholic students in the Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Spirit River areas.
PWPSD manages one of the largest transportation systems in the province of Alberta. Each day, approximately 100 school bus drivers travel more than 14,225 kilometres in a total service area of 16,159 square kilometres.
PWPSD's Transportation garages are located in both Grande Prairie and Spirit River. Safety is undoubtedly PWPSD's highest priority. A regular and thorough maintenance and inspection program is in place to ensure the fleet is mechanically safe.
For transportation to run smoothly, everyone must work together – school staff, employees, parents and students.
