Substitute Teachers

Substitute Teachers

PWPSD is accepting applications for Substitute Teachers for the current school year. Please refer to the PWPSD Substitute Teacher Application Checklist below. Apply in person at PWPSD Central Office.

Automated Dispatch System

PWPSD uses an Automated Dispatch System (ADS) for substitute teachers. Once an application for substitute teaching has been approved by Central Office, a substitute teacher is added to the Division's Active Substitute Teacher list. Please note: Substitute teachers must complete the Registration Procedure (below) in order to receive callouts.

Please refer to the ADS Orientation and Quick Reference Guide below to learn more about the ADS System.

HR Work Board

PWPSD's HR Work Board Module enhances the existing ADS to provide job offers to substitute teachers through the Self-Serve Portal. Substitute teachers can browse and accept available openings through the web portal, and set up email and text notifications for jobs that meet their preset preferences.

Please refer to the HR Work Board Guide below to learn more about this module.
